Berkeley Burgess

Events Associate

Ms. Burgess joined the Foundation in January 2006 as Program Coordinator for the Young Scholars Program. Her responsibilities as events associate include handling event logistics for all Young Scholars summer events, local events, regional events and symposia.

 

Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Burgess worked for two years as Volunteer Coordinator for the Loudoun County, Virginia Department of Animal Care and Control. There she managed all aspects of the department's extensive volunteer program including all training, recognition, and retention.

 

Ms. Burgess earned her Masters of Tourism Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in December 2009.   Ms. Burgess is also a certified meeting professional (CMP).  For her undergraduate education, she attended Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia and received her B.A. in communication studies with a minor in sociology. While at Longwood she worked for the Office of Conferences and Scheduling where she assisted with carrying out various summer conferences and events.
