Gianina Lockley

Educational Adviser

As an Educational Adviser, Ms. Lockley provides academic advising and access to educational opportunities to the Foundation’s Young Scholars.

Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Lockley worked with in various Student Affairs departments.  She served as a mentor for
first generation African American students within the department of Multi-Cultural Affairs and has worked in Graduate Admissions.  Ms. Lockley also oversaw multiple Residence Halls where she assisted students with their academic and personal concerns.  Additionally, she taught elementary students in the DC Reads after school advocacy program.

Ms. Lockley holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Howard University and an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from
Columbia College Chicago. She has also studied abroad at the United States International University in Nairobi, Kenya
where she focused on International Journalism and Mass Communication.
