Sarah Hersh

Educational Adviser

As an Educational Adviser, Ms. Hersh provides academic advising and access to educational opportunities to the Foundation’s Young Scholars.

Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Hersh spent the summer leading a group of high school students on a service learning trip in Alaska through VISIONS Service Adventures. Prior to this, she taught 7th and 8th grade language arts on the Navajo Nation through Teach for America in New Mexico. In addition to teaching, she also planned afterschool enrichment courses and sponsored a world cultures club. Before joining Teach for America, she worked for two years at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and still maintains a strong interest in the arts. 
 
Ms. Hersh holds a B.A. in Art History from Barnard College. While in New Mexico she completed work towards an elementary teaching license, and is awaiting her notice of completion. She has also studied at the School for Visual Arts in New York City and at the International Institute of French Studies, University Marc Bloch, in Strasbourg, France.
