Tufts University/Massachusetts Campus Compact

Tufts University and the Massachusetts Campus Compact (Medford and Somerville, MA) are using the College Advising Corps grant to develop a college-advising program through Tufts’ Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service.  The program is designed to increase college enrollment rates of high-achieving, low-income students by helping them overcome the financial, educational, and social obstacles that impede access to college.  Recent Tufts graduates work full-time in select Massachusetts high schools and partner sites, helping students plan for college and navigate the college and financial aid application processes.  Over four years, the program will provide one-on-one advising to 2,250 Massachusetts high-school students and serve another 6,010 students in group settings.
