Elementary School

The Foundation’s Enrichment and Accelerated Learning Grants are designed to provide targeted support at the elementary school level.  Grantees offer exceptionally promising K-5 students with financial need the rigorous academic experiences they need to develop their talents, a community of peers, and the opportunity to explore new interests through challenging school-based, summer, and after school enrichment programs.

BELL

The Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) summer and BELL after school programs are nationally-recognized models of excellence.  These innovative programs are designed to improve the academic achievements, self-esteem, and life opportunities of children living in low-income, urban communities.

BELL's programs, currently operating in Baltimore, Boston, and New York City, provide small-group tutoring, mentoring, field trips, guest speakers, community service, and support for parents. Through rigorous evaluation, BELL ensures continual improvement and success for children.  With a three-year grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, BELL is expanding its programs to ensure that thousands of elementary school children receive the support they need to reach advanced levels of academic performance.
