"Speaking with honest words and seeing with accepting eyes has become an everyday goal of mine."
Hayden Henningsen likes to teach. He has taught a variety of subjects in a range of settings, from leading drills in tae kwon do, to teaching English to a classroom of Japanese children, tutoring college students in French, and giving one-on-one art lessons to junior high students. "Whatever field of work that I may be involved in the years to come, teaching will undoubtedly be a part of it," he says.
Hayden will receive a bachelor's degree in French and a minor in fine arts from the University of Central Arkansas in the spring of 2003. Upon graduation, he plans to join the Peace Corps to put his French skills to use.
After his volunteer service, Hayden plans to attend medical school and also study eastern medicine abroad. "I want to bring the art of healing back into the world of western medicine."
