At Harvard University, Danna focused her studies on foreign affairs, gender and Arabic language while serving as Coordinator for the Harvard University Islam in the West Graduate Workshop. Her thesis work focused on the meanings of veil as it is worn in the United States and is titled, "The New Hijab."
She currently serves as Project Manager in Jordan for Right to Play, an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play as a tool for the development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged areas of the world.
