"I believe I will discover endless new things to learn as my life unfolds. Passing that knowledge on to others should encompass a lifetime."
Philip D. Kneeland expects to obtain a master's and Ph.D. before he can achieve his career goal: developing practical applications for some of the theories found in quantum physics.
Philip enjoyed all aspects of science from the time he was very young, completing most of the available Boy Scout Merit Badges on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout. When his high school chemistry and physics teacher pointed him towards engineering, and Philip had found his future. While holding down a work-study job, Philip has achieved a perfect grade point average, a spot on the "A" dean's list, and the ICC Foundation's most prestigious scholarship. He is a National Science Foundation Engineering Scholar.
When he isn't studying or flying--Philip recently earned his private pilot's license, is completing the work required to obtain an instrument rating, and is intrigued by flying aerobatics--he enjoys theatre. He has had a principal role in the Grand Rapids Players' Annie, and has returned for four consecutive years for a role in Mississippi Melodie Showboat. He expects to continue performing vocally and instrumentally in community theatre.
