Biography

One of the best days of Marc Silverman's life was the day he received his acceptance letter to Yale University. One of the worst days was when he received the accompanying financial aid package. Marc's family managed to coordinate the funds necessary for him to attend Yale and from that day on, he resolved to work toward the reform of financial aid policy. As a representative of the freshman class council, Marc pursued this goal, and by the end of his second semester, his efforts resulted in significant improvements.

Free to move on to other things, Marc became heavily involved in the Yale College Council and became a freshmen outdoor orientation trip leader. He studied at Oxford University his junior year and has spent the past three summers working for his congressman in Washington, D.C., an investment bank in New York City, and the Government Law Center of Albany Law School. Marc now works as a freshman counselor, living with and advising students in the class of 2006.

Marc will graduate in the spring of 2003 with a degree in psychology and plans to attend law school.
