Profile: Graduate school. Two words that once seemed like a distant mirage to Sade Scott are now a reality and an attainable goal. The remarkable and vibrant Chicago native who overcame several personal challenges and a poor educational foundation has her bachelor’s degree behind her and is weeks away from beginning the next challenge in her young life, graduate school and an M.B.A. A few things happened since her days as a high school student in the
Inspiration: When Sade was eight-years-old in
Aspiration: Once Sade earns her M.B.A., she hopes to join the business world as a Marketing/Sales Consultant. “A masters from this program will afford me numerous opportunities that are not limited to one specific industry. Having such a diverse portfolio will make me more marketable to employers.”
Making a Difference: Sade had the opportunity to take a different path than that of her siblings, parents, and grandparents. “None of them attended college and they all ultimately led tough lives. I decided to become a product of my decisions, not my environment,” Sade said.
