“Most people experience uncertainty from time to time; however one passion I have never been uncertain about is my desire to touch another’s life, to alleviate another’s struggle, and to serve others as if I were partaking in their trials.”
PROFILE: Ever since her high school days, a career in medicine is all that Bucknell University graduate Brittney Kulbeda wanted. She loves working with and helping patients and brings that enthusiasm to her position as a Certified Nurses Assistant (a job she’s had for over three years while she’s been attending college). So it was no surprise when she told her family and friends that she wanted to become a Physician Assistant, which would enable patient contact “without the rigamorole of business litigations.” But fate got in the way. During a chance meeting with a few Bucknell Trustees, she was encouraged by the college leaders to “rethink” her career decision and apply to medical school.
