Judy French is a fiction writer and poet living in Northern California. Her work has appeared in anthologies and literary journals and her play “Little Statues” was staged in New York. She spent many years in the performing arts as a dancer and actor and has performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Cliff Keuter, and American Dance Ensemble, among others. She has worked all over the country in theater and television and also in film production for Blake Edwards. She is currently working on a textbook on visual manipulations in fiction writing while teaching at a private school in the San Francisco Bay Area (where she is also one of the librarians).
Ms. French holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College and graduated with honors from Santa Clara University with a degree in Theater. She also sits on the board of Friends of Writers, an organization devoted to sustaining the Warren Wilson MFA program and its community. Ms. French looks forward to participating in an exchange program with Japanese educators in 2008.
