Ms. Margaret Kwoka

Margaret Kwoka, an attorney, has been selected as a 2008-2010 Equal Justice Works fellow at Public Citizen Litigation Group in Washington, D.C., where she will conduct litigation under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to obtain government-held information on behalf of non-profits. She received an A.B. in biology from Brown University in 2002, and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2007.

Between college and law school, Margaret served as a Peace Corps volunteer in a remote village in Burkina Faso, where she taught secondary-level math and biology in French. After law school, she took a one-year position as a law clerk to the Honorable Phillip Rapoza, Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Margaret has also authored two legal publications concerning international law and human rights.
