Foundation to Open Application for New College Scholarship Program
The Foundation is gearing up to open the application period for our new College Scholarship Program in late August. This scholarship program is for high-performing high school seniors who seek to attend the nation’s top colleges and universities. Like the Foundation’s other programs, students must demonstrate unmet financial need as a prerequisite.
A highly-competitive scholarship, as many as 40 recipients will be awarded up to $30,000 each year (up to 4 years) for tuition, books, living expenses, and other required fees. Students have the ability to pursue any area of study, are granted one-on-one advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid, as well as assistance in transitioning to college and maximizing the college student experience.
Selection criteria is based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, a desire to help others, and leadership. The application period for Phase 1 runs from late August and will close in early November. Selected applicants will move on to Phase 2 and finalists will be notified in late February.
A flyer and fact sheet about the program can be shared with students, parents, educators, and others. Some may find our FAQs helpful.
