Evan ReadEducational Adviser, Young Scholars
As an educational adviser, Mr. Read provides advising support to Cooke Young Scholars navigating the college search and selection process and to Cooke College Scholars who are in their first and second years of college.
Mr. Read began his tenure at the Cooke Foundation as an educational adviser for the Young Scholars Program—providing guidance and support to scholars, and their families, who are in grades 8-12. Before joining the Foundation, Mr. Read worked as an admission officer at Stonehill College and Northeastern University, guiding students and families through the college search and selection process. He also interned in Columbia University’s Office of Student Affairs, working closely to advise and counsel undergraduate student leaders on the University’s policies and procedures regarding student run organizations. Throughout all of his professional roles, Mr. Read has worked closely with students, families, and education professionals to provide students with the support they need to successfully pursue an undergraduate education.
Mr. Read holds a B.A. in History from Union College, as well as an M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
