Katy E. Leonard is an educational adviser at the Foundation, providing academic advising and support to the Cooke College Scholars and Cooke Transfer Scholars.
Prior to joining the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Katy was a resident/assistant dean and lecturer at Harvard University. She has also served as a program director and faculty member at North Carolina State University and Birmingham-Southern College. Katy has extensive experience in empowering students to identify and attain educational and career goals and in helping students navigate institutional processes and procedures.
Katy received a B.M. in music performance from Birmingham-Southern College; an M.A. in ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick (Ireland); and a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from Brown University.
