As an educational adviser, Ms. Ensing provides academic advising and access to educational opportunities to the Foundation’s College Scholars and Undergraduate Transfer Scholars.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Ensing worked in the Orientation department and oversaw transfer student transition efforts at the University of Miami. She got her start in higher education when she served as a college adviser with the Carolina College Advising Corps in western North Carolina, helping to guide students from schools with low college matriculation rates to college. Following this service, Ms. Ensing worked in Undergraduate Admissions at North Carolina State University where she was responsible for Native American student recruitment and worked with first generation student outreach.
Ms. Ensing earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S.Ed in Higher Education, with a focus in Enrollment Management from the University of Miami.
