Young Scholars Program
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program offers the most personalized, generous scholarship and educational support to exceptionally promising students from families across the nation who have financial need. Young Scholars receive comprehensive educational advising and financial support from the 8th grade through high school to pursue their unique academic and talent goals. The application period is open from mid-January to mid-March. Up to 60 Young Scholars are selected for this program each year. Final notification is in the early fall.
College Scholarship Program
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is a new undergraduate scholarship program available to high-performing high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. College Scholars receive up to $30,000 per year, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to network with the larger JKCF Scholar community. The application period is open from late August to early November. Up to 40 College Scholars are selected for this program each year. Final notification is in late February.
Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly-selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. The Foundation provides up to $30,000 per year, making it the largest private scholarship for community college transfer students in the country. The application period is open from September to November. Up to 75 Undergraduate Transfer Scholars are selected each year. Final notification is in April.
Graduate Arts Award
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Award recognizes and rewards America’s promising up-and-coming artists from lower-income backgrounds with the nation’s leading graduate scholarships in the visual arts, performing arts, and creative writing. A highly-selective scholarship, the Foundation provides up to $50,000 per year to attend an accredited graduate institution in the U.S. or abroad. The application period is open from early October to late November. Up to 20 Graduate Arts Scholars are selected each year. Final notification is in late May.
Dissertation Fellowship Award
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Award supports advanced doctoral students completing dissertations that further the understanding of the educational pathways and experiences of high-achieving, low-income students. The fellowship is a one-time award of up to $25,000, which may be used for a period of not less than nine months and up to 18 months beginning in June of each year. The application period is open from October to February. Up to 6 Dissertation Fellows are selected each year. Final notification is in late May.
