Cooke Scholar Harun Mehmedinovic is no stranger to traveling for his work, as evidenced in the breathtaking images he has captured for both his photography books and the internationally acclaimed Skyglow Project that drew attention to the issue of light pollution.

Harun’s latest project focused on the more widely known issue of climate change, and took him from the Arctic Circle to the Equator. He co-produced and was the cinematographer for the new HBO documentary Ice on Fire, which was narrated and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. The documentary was selected for and was recently showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, and had it’s premiered on HBO this week. People can currently view the documentary for free by visiting the HBO page.
