Making an Impact: Cooke Scholar Ethan Ambrose

Ethan proved that he could think big, work hard, and achieve during his high school years. After being awarded the Cooke College Scholarship earlier this year, he continues to apply that determination to his neurobiology studies at Harvard University.

“I want to be the sort of doctor that looks to make healthcare accessible for all,” says Ethan.¬†“I realize that there’s so many inequities … leveling that playing field is something that I definitely want to do.”

He also emphasized that being a Cooke Scholar is worth more than the up to $40,000 per year that the scholarship will provide: “It’s more about the network and the different people that I’m meeting. I just feel like having that sort of network and going on to these large campuses like Harvard is definitely going to benefit me.”

And he has a message for current high school seniors:

“See how far you can go! Apply today.”
