Daniel Alejandro Leon-Davis

Cooke Scholar

Daniel Alejandro Leon-Davis, a 2011 Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholar, is co-founder of both The Soze Agency and Immigrant Heritage Month.

His work with Immigrant Heritage Month fueled the “I Am An Immigrant” campaign in 2016, which celebrates and sheds light on the beneficial contributions that immigrants make to the United States. The campaign has gained national attention and shared the stories of many immigrants with unique voices and backgrounds.

Although he is a Venezuelan native, Daniel grew up in Florida and attended Seminole State College of Florida. Determined to keep striving for excellence, he  transferred to American University after receiving the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship from the Foundation and, despite financial struggles throughout his undergraduate career, completed his degree in international relations and music theory.

His work centers around social impact causes and advocacy for undeserved communities.
