Director, Scholarship Programs


As director, Ms. Folliard leads effective program implementation across all scholarship programs — from the Cooke Young Scholars Program through higher education. Since joining the Cooke Foundation in 2008, Ms. Folliard has been an educational adviser, lead educational adviser, and manager of scholarship programs and provided academic advising and access to educational opportunities to the Foundation’s Cooke Young Scholars.

Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Folliard taught English at a public high school in Northern Virginia. In addition to teaching, she coached track and field and sponsored various extracurricular activities. She has also spent time working in policy, specifically in education policy with the James B. Hunt Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy, and in youth policy with the Forum for Youth Investment.

Ms. Folliard earned her B.A. in English and history, as well as an M.A. in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
